Cancelling Helsana basic insurance
For basic insurance, your cancellation must reach Helsana by 30 November at the latest to take effect on 1 January. As everywhere, the basic benefits are identical: switching loses no cover, only the premium changes.

Helsana supplementary insurance: mind the notice period
Supplementary insurance (VVG/LCA) follows its own general terms and conditions: the notice period is often three months before the annual expiry, and some products carry a multi-year commitment. Check your policy before cancelling the supplementary insurance.
