
CSS basic insurance: the 30 November deadline
To cancel your basic insurance with CSS, the letter must be received by 30 November at the latest, for the contract to end on 31 December. As basic cover is identical everywhere, you lose nothing by switching insurer.
The cancellation address and the form
Send your cancellation to the CSS cancellation address (distinct from the general address in some cases). The letter must be dated, signed and state your insured number as well as the line concerned.
CSS supplementary insurance
Supplementary insurance is governed by the VVG/LCA: a notice period often of three months, with its own general terms and conditions. Only cancel the supplementary insurance after checking the notice period applicable to your product.
Securing the dispatch
